Just finished watching The Phantom of the Opera. Marvelous. It simply sweeps you off your feet. The music and voices are so distinct and well-delivered. Really like this kind of plays. Though there is some disturbing sides to it. Like how the film invokes pity in us towards the phantom, which I feel supercedes the way he deals with things that gets in his way. Kinda make us overlook and forgive his murderous side in just a whirl wind of romance and pity.

It really reminds me of the musical my jc choir staged. With the lead casts singing and the rest dancing to their lyrics. It was a fun comedy :) I think I missed my choir days. Used to enjoy the blending of voices from all the different sections with all their different parts. It's amazing isn't it? Just by having each section sing monotonous notes alone, they together can create a music master piece :)
